Freighters was founded on a simple belief: businesses deserve IT partners who are honest, dependable, and personally invested in their success — not just their invoices.
Freighters IT Consulting was founded when Robert Hanson kept seeing the same problem repeat itself: small and mid-sized businesses were being failed by their IT providers. Corners were being cut. Promises were being broken. Critical systems were built on shaky foundations that nobody told the client about until something went wrong.
Robert had spent over a decade inside enterprise IT environments — designing the kind of mission-critical Microsoft infrastructure that large organizations depend on 24/7. He knew what "done right" looked like. He also knew it wasn't complicated or prohibitively expensive to bring that same standard of engineering to smaller businesses. It just required someone who cared enough to do it properly.
So he built Freighters. Not to chase contracts or maximize billable hours — but to be the kind of IT firm he'd want if he were a business owner: transparent, technically excellent, and genuinely invested in your success.
André joined to lead the web solutions practice, bringing an industrial engineering mindset that treats every digital platform as a system to be optimized. Jenni holds the operation together with an operational rigor that ensures clients are never left wondering what's happening.
Together, the three of them have built something that's deliberately small, deliberately focused, and absolutely relentless about quality.
No outsourcing. No handing your infrastructure to a junior team. Our founders are the ones doing the work — every time.
Robert is the founder of Freighters IT Consulting. He graduated from DeVry University in 2010 with a degree in Network Engineering and has spent over 15 years designing and supporting mission-critical Microsoft environments for businesses that can't afford downtime.
His philosophy is straightforward: build it right the first time, document everything, and don't leave until the client fully understands what they have and why. He is certifications-deep in Azure, Exchange, Hyper-V, and the broader Microsoft ecosystem — and has the real-world troubleshooting experience to back it up.
André bridges a rare gap: deep technical competence meets an industrial engineer's obsession with optimization. With a background in Industrial Production Management — the U.S. equivalent of Industrial Engineering — he approaches every web project as a system to be analyzed, designed, and tuned for maximum performance.
He architects custom web ecosystems, industry-specific UI/UX, and CRM integrations that don't just look good — they work harder than the systems they replaced. If there's an inefficiency in your digital workflow, André will find it and eliminate it.
Jenni is the essential element that keeps Freighters running with the same reliability the team engineers into client systems. As Director of Operations & Accounting, she oversees the books, the processes, and the client experience — ensuring every engagement is as smooth from an operations standpoint as it is technically.
Her presence is the primary reason that client communication is timely, invoices are accurate, projects stay on track, and the team can focus entirely on the technical work. She is the operational backbone that makes the whole thing possible.
You'll always know exactly what we're doing, why we're doing it, and what it costs. No surprise invoices. No work happening in the dark. We explain our reasoning at every step.
We've seen the damage that shortcuts cause — systems that fail at the worst possible moment because someone skipped a step. We don't do that. We build things right, even when it takes longer.
Our recommendations are built for your 5-year trajectory, not for our next invoice. We'd rather tell you something you don't want to hear now than sell you a solution that creates problems later.
When your systems go down, we feel it. When your migration completes without a hiccup, we're proud of that. We're emotionally invested in your outcomes because we chose this work specifically to help businesses like yours.
We don't try to be everything to everyone. We are deeply, certifiably expert in Microsoft infrastructure and the ecosystems around it. That depth is what lets us solve problems others can't.
You can reach us. Real people answer. We respond fast. Technology problems don't respect business hours, and neither do we when a client needs us.
No staff augmentation, no offshore teams, no handing your infrastructure to someone you've never met. Our founders are personally accountable for every engagement.
Every system we build is designed with the assumption that something will eventually break. The engineering is in ensuring that when it does, your business never feels it.
We've turned down engagements because a client's existing setup was actually fine. We'd rather build a long-term relationship on trust than a short-term one on overselling.
When we're done, you own a complete, current record of your infrastructure. If you ever leave us (you won't want to), you won't be held hostage by undocumented systems.
We're a Denver-area team working with businesses we actually care about. We show up in person when it matters, and we're in your timezone when you call.
Start with a free, no-pressure consultation. We'll listen first.
