Terms of Service
These terms apply to your use of freighters.com and the Freighters client portal. Paid engagements are also governed by the statement of work or proposal you accept, which takes priority over these terms where they differ.

Using this website
You may browse and share the content on this site for personal or internal business use. Please don't copy substantial parts of it for commercial use, attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the site or portal, or use automated tools to submit forms.
Information on this site
Our articles, case studies and FAQs are general information, not professional advice for your specific situation. Technology changes quickly, so while we work to keep content accurate, we don't guarantee it is complete or current. Talk to us before relying on it for decisions about your systems.
Free assessments and audits
Free infrastructure assessments and website audits are provided as-is, as a good-faith starting point. They are based on what can be observed at the time and may not cover every issue. You are not obliged to buy anything because you received one.
Client portal
Portal access is for our clients and their authorised staff. You're responsible for keeping access to your email account (which receives sign-in links) and any password secure, and for telling us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use. We may suspend access to protect the security of the portal or our other clients.
Proposals, statements of work and payment
Work begins when you accept a proposal or statement of work through the portal. That document sets out scope, price, deliverables and timeline. Invoices are payable by the due date shown through our payment processors (Square or Stripe). Unless your statement of work says otherwise, deposits secure your place in our schedule and are non-refundable once work has started.
Your content
You keep ownership of the content, logos and data you give us. You grant us permission to use them only to deliver the work you've asked for, and you confirm you have the right to share them. Once paid in full, deliverables created specifically for you are yours, except for our pre-existing tools, templates and know-how, which we license to you for use with the deliverable.
Our intellectual property
The Freighters name, logo, site design, articles and other content are owned by Freighters IT Consulting or our licensors. Nothing in these terms transfers them to you.
Third-party services
The site links to and relies on third-party services (for example payment processors and Microsoft products). Their own terms apply to your use of them, and we're not responsible for their content or availability.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
This website and portal are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, Freighters is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from use of the website or portal, and our total liability relating to them is limited to USD 100. Liability for paid work is set out in your statement of work. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, or your rights as a consumer under the law of your country.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, and disputes will be handled by the courts located in Colorado, unless the law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date at the top of this page shows the latest version. Questions? Email robert@freighters.com.
